Wiley is a global publisher of print and electronic products, specialising in scientific, technical, and medical books and journals; professional and consumer books and subscription services; and textbooks and other educational materials for undergraduate and graduate students as well as lifelong learners. Wiley publishes in a variety of formats.
Wiley recently acquired a journal that had a number of supplementary files that had previously been available online. Unfortunately the supplied HTML did not conform to the required W3C HTML 4.0 compliancy that the Wiley Resource Website used. Wiley duly requested Circa82 to convert the online articles to conform to these standards.

Consistent elements in the HTML were identified and then replaced on all the pages (using a global search and replace). Once this was a done a holder page was setup that contained a link to the W3C validator. Each individual HTML page was called into the holder through a querystring and validated by clicking the W3C validator link. All the HTML code was manually checked to meet the accessibility and usability standards of Wiley InterScience, the organisation's online publishing platform.
Wiley were supplied with a reference document by Circa82 that listed the following:
The conversion was completed to meet the tight deadline.
