The Big Word Project
March 4th, 2008 by Michael Austin
A website called The Big Word Project has been setup by two Northern Irish lads, which allows you to”purchase” a word from the English dictionary. This word is then pointed towards your website. Buying a word for a few dollars ($1 per letter in each word) is worth a punt, as any web traffic is good traffic (well nearly always). The project should do ok, as they have a good architecture in place along with a nice simple design. They’ve made everything straight forward, but I can see them adding a couple of minor additions to help the “word” functionality.
Currently I own the words multimedia, gig and gigs.
I’ve also added circa82 to some online databases.
